Anita Tkacz
Anita Tkacz is a New York State–licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She also holds a TSSLD certification with a bilingual extension in Polish. Ms. Tkacz earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, including a bilingual extension, from Hofstra University. She completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY Albany, where she studied biology/pre-med, sociology, and linguistics. Before joining P.S. 329Q, she worked in a variety of elementary, middle, and high school settings, providing speech-language services both in person and through teletherapy.
At P.S. 329Q, Ms. Tkacz works with students to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills essential for academic success and social participation, including articulation, expressive and receptive language, vocabulary development, pragmatic (social) language skills, and comprehension. She collaborates closely with teachers, families, and other school professionals and believes that all students can develop strong communication skills when instruction is meaningful, supportive, and individualized.
Ms. Tkacz strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel safe to take risks, recognize their growth, and develop confidence and enjoyment in their communication skills. She believes that every child has a unique voice worth hearing and is dedicated to helping students express themselves, understand others, and advocate for their needs.
